Horticulture Division
In
the Horticulture Division, hundreds of plants are on display,
including orchids, blooming bulbs, ferns, begonias, ivies,
violets, succulents, bonsai, carnivorous plants, herbs, and
a wide variety of other blooming and foliage plants. Exhibitors
in this Division are hopeful of a blue ribbon, a trophy, or
other award for outstanding examples of horticulture, ranging
from forced bulbs to topiaries and treasured cuts from a winter
garden such as camellias, berried branches, and hellebores. For
a hint of Italy, enjoy the sprezzatura of Tea with Mussolini in “From
the Outside In . . . .”
This Division encourages entries from the
casual plant enthusiast as well as the lifelong experienced
horticulturist.
